This focus on &#8216;affected communities&#8217;, rather than distinguishing &#8216;hosts&#8217; from &#8216;refugees&#8217; helps to decrease ideas of difference between displaced people and &#8216;hosts&#8217;, and thus, challenge the idea of refugees and other displaced people as a burden on communities.
